At Health New England, our passion is taking extraordinary care of the people in our communities. Everything we do is built around this simple, deeply held belief.

With a strong focus on excellence of care, Health New England is a not-for-profit insurer that protects employers and individuals in the commercial, Medicaid and Medicare markets. Headquartered in Springfield, MA, we proudly provide health care coverage for more than 200,000 members.

We serve commercial members in Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire Counties in Western Massachusetts and Worcester County. We also cover our Medicaid members in the four counties of Western Massachusetts. Our Medicare Advantage coverage extends throughout Western Massachusetts and into Hartford and Tolland Counties in Connecticut. We also serve commercial members and their dependents who live in Connecticut and are employed by Massachusetts companies.  

At Health New England, we are deeply connected to our communities.

Our employees live and work in the communities we serve. This means we understand the concerns, needs and values of those around us. We support the people in our communities not only by improving their health and lives as a health insurer, but also by actively participating in community organizations.

Our charitable giving efforts are focused in three areas: sponsorships, community benefits and volunteerism.

Sponsorships

Our sponsorships include organizations and events such as the City of Greenfield Triathlon, UMass Fine Arts Center, and Baypath University Women’s Conference.

We take great pride in our community benefits program, funding at-risk and underserved populations through organizations like the United Way, Children’s Study Home, NAACP, and the Center for Human Development.

Our employees are active volunteers to support Rays of Hope campaign, the American Heart Association Go Red for Women events, Friends of the Homeless dinner service, Dress for Success clothing collection, and many others.
